When using the Texas SNAP Calculator you are provided with a series of questions that you have to answer in order to estimate the amount of the food stamps that you will be a eligible for after you apply. Bear in mind that the tool only provides you with an estimate and that the actual amount you receive may vary depending upon qualifying factors.

However, even if the Texas SNAP Calculator suggests that you are not eligible for food stamps you should still apply, since certain qualifying factors not taken into account may still make you eligible for food stamps. When you make use of the Texas SNAP Calculator, if you are required to input any numbers, you can only input numerals and decimals. You cannot input dollar signs.

You will have to provide answers to questions pertaining to your background including how many people are in your household, the ages of the people in your household, and if you have anyone in your home who has a disability. You will also have to address questions pertaining to your gross earned income, unearned income, the type of assets that you have, any vehicles you may own, monthly medical expenses, child support payments, child support monies received, the cost of childcare, shelter expenses, the cost of housing, the cost of utilities, and various other expenses.
